Gear Up: {Mustang Survival}
A personal flotation device (PFD) is one of the most important pieces of gear when out on the water. Check out this line up for everyone in the family from Mustang Survival.
Everyone I’m Mark with mustang survival.
Really excited to quickly show you a few pieces here that we have and I’m really excited about. The first one is our minimalist belt pack, and it is one of the most awesome belt packs out there on the market because of how small it is.
We have straps So if you want to put your sunglasses or keys on there, you can. When this inflates– It’s the pillow style inflator those styles bladder so and inflate and you put your strap over and that’s how you’ll be floating– ninety pounds of flotation from this minimalist belt pack, really awesome piece, really soft fabric.
I’ll show you one of our youth child’s life jackets.. So this is our little legends, as you’ll see, it has the neck collar to help hold your child’s head out of the water. It also has that crotch strap and that handle so you can help pick them up out of the water.
It comes in red and blue on colors. And we also have what we call the rev, which is exactly the same life jacket, but without the neck collar. So these come in infants, youth, child, young adults. So we got a handful sizes.. and these really love it.
Such a great soft fabric. We know you have it. Your kids love it. So it really is an awesome life jacket for those kiddos. we love it. Another one I want to show you and talk about our moxie right here.
This is our a women’s specific life jacket. So it has a Built-In underbust designed by the MGI family when they were building these life jackets. So this is removable. So you can either have it in there or not, but really supportive for those women when you’re wearing a life jacket.
So this is the Moxie. I really love this life jacket. And then we’ve got this gem right here, bright yellow, easy and very comfortable life jacket for the paddler that wants more of an entry level price point jacket.
We got in a handful of colors. Comes with the whistle for that safety first and some pockets that you can put some items in — and Velcro just to secure those zippers on the front for easy access– and then a buckle just to secure yourself down there at the bottom.
And then one of our really awesome prize life jackets that we love — is our dual flotation life jacket.
So it’s really, really light. Soft fabrics for the shoulders, really low profile. I mean, it’s so, so thin.
And this is a Coast Guard approved life jacket. And how do we get there with only seven pounds of foam– the flotation foam as it sits right now is, like I said, it’s a dual flotation and system.
So we actually have air bladder that inflates like here. You can either do that manually by pulling this cord and activating the system in that one place, or you can orally inflate. So I’ll show you three breaths inflate this.
The three breaths– most of the air fills up on the chest with a little bit in the upper back area, and that is to keep you self riding properly and face up out of the water. Let’s take the twenty two pounds of flotation.
And when it inflates, you don’t lose any air mobility. So if you have to swim back to your paddleboard, your kayak, the boat, the sailboat, as they’re coming around back where you can still get those strokes in to return to your vessel. And when you’re done, it’s super easy–to take your oral tube, to take the cap upside down, push on it, deflate your air.
If you use a CO2 canister, you would just replace the CO2 canister. Otherwise, you’re back to normal when you’re ready to rock. We have some awesome, nice little spots for knives, GPS units, anything else, personal effectives– a place for your sunglasses on there.
We absolutely love this life jacket. You put it on. You’ll love it, too.
