Beach Fishing Strategy
Jimmy Kennedy shares his favorite lure and setup to catch fish while at the beach.
Hey, everybody. Jimmy Kennedy here with go outside and we got a totally new location here today for you in Southwest Florida, on the beach family vacation and we’ve been catching a lot of fish. June and many are even doing OK with the the snow, the red fish.
We’ve get a lot of lady fish and yellowtail from the beach, and I just want to show you a few techniques that you can use the baby to catch dinner. You know, for the family, if nothing else, we have a lot of fun.
I mean, it’s hard for me to quit out here and even play with the family, but they enjoy it too. They enjoy the fish and it’s super easy. And to be honest, this is probably one of my favorite fishing places in the whole world.
And what I want to show you today is my favorite lure, the favorite, my favorite one and catch the most fish on this little cast master right here. And I’ve got this mark. It’s like a medium heavy action.

It’s the static 4000 the most reels coming like 2000 3000 3000 4000. And I like to have like one of each. Maybe at least here’s the bed for 3000. This is the strategy, like I said, and I’ve had this thing a long time and I’ve got a lot of fish on it, especially here in saltwater.

I also have the trends if this is more of a like a piece for bait, I can do this and kind of like a Carolina rig. I just rig a heavyweight. I put on a Berkley shrimp and a little nose up works great with a big red like that last night.
And I also have my up, my crowd. OK, this ain’t ’cause tomorrow it’s small, but it really does a job and I got this on a pro green rod. I got a couple of those. If you want to get more distance, just get along the rod, of course.
Got to have players. You’ve got to have a late night just in case you get something, you need to cut off debate. The lure that’s been doing it this week is this parlor right here. This is the extra hour long cast.
Well, and usually you just twitch this, but I’ve been rolling it straight. For some reason. It’s working better like that. This has been the lure of the week here. We’ve got a big read last night and a whole bunch of stuff, and this is probably my favorite too.
I mean, this one hasn’t been doing it yet, but it will when we get out on the boat. This is a twitch and mullet and also by RuPaul. You can see it’s got great color on that beach. It looks just like a little fish there.
This is really, really good. Got it. Now I use these for fresh water a lot. This is the Jacko Rhythm Wave, one of my favorite schoolmates of all time in a decade cast. Is that from the beach? Really, it was a no brainer.
This is an zone right here. A little whiplash do. And it is killer does a great job and it’s got a weighted hook. BMC weighted hook right here. It’s go out there. Twitch, Twitch, Twitch it mornings. The best afternoons.
Great for this thing. You can use live bait, but really all you need or these lures right here, you have a whole lot of fun. You’re at the beach, go swimming, body surfing, play on the ref to have great picnics.
It’s all good.
