We took a Day Out{side} to go to the Manatee Viewing Center at the Tampa Electric Power Plant in Tampa Florida. The Manatee Viewing Center is an interactive exhibit set up as a learning experience for marine life lovers of all ages. Admission is free as the center is supported by charitable donations. The main attraction is, of course, the manatees that gather in the warm waters outside of the Tampa Electric Power plant. It’s a safe refuge for them to be in the colder winter months. The center has plenty of viewing areas and signage that informs visitors of the different fish and other animals they may see. They also have a stingray tank that allows visitors to touch the rays as they glide by you! The Manatee Viewing Center is a great way to spend a day outside!
