We took a day outside to go to the manatee viewing center at the Tampa Electric Power Plant in Tampa, Florida.
The Manatee Viewing Center is an interactive exhibit set up as a learning experience for marine life lovers of all ages. Open seven days a week. Admission is free as the center is supported by charitable donations. The main attraction, of course, is the manatees that gather in the warm waters outside of the Tampa Electric Power Plant.
It’s a safe refuge for them to be in, especially during the colder winter months.
The center has plenty of viewing areas and signage that informs visitors of the different fish and other animals they may see there. They also have a stingray tank that allows visitors to touch and learn about the rays as they glide on by. The Manatee Viewing Center is a great way for you and your family to spend a day outside.
