Minecraft IRL: Flint And Steel

I’m Brooks Taylor with Bass Masters. Go outside, and today we’re going to teach your kids how to make fire. Old school. Hey, what are you doing? Little Minecraft, you’re playing. What? Minecraft? What are you doing on there? We are trying to get planes still, but it’s not like you’re having trouble finding Flint and steel.

Yeah, yeah. So what are you going to do? The stealing thunder? I believe one. And then I need some more. I don’t know you one, though. So what are you going to do? OK? What are you going to do with fun?

Still? We’re going to make a fire look. Well, how about we turn the game off and we go outside and do it for real? And you can do that. Oh yeah, let’s do it. Today, I got my main man here.

My name is storyteller today. What are we going to be using skill? We got Flint Steal right here. So Fun Steal comes in a couple of varieties, but you have a fair konam rod. And then you have a piece of steel, and when you strike them together, put a lot of force down on it.

You’re going to get some sparks. And as we’re coming outside with the kids, we’re getting away from the Minecraft and all the video games. We’re going to get the kids outside. And one way to do that is to introduce them to foot steel, to appreciate fire, to get that campfire going themselves a little pride.

one way we want to make sure that they have success when they’re young, we have cotton balls and we have dabbed at monomers a made a sandwich out of petroleum jelly in here. So it’s going to light faster, give a little more success.

And what do you have there? I got Gottemoeller. I took it apart. It’s very flavorful. The more you do it, the more flavorful. And I’m going to pick apart just a little more. I love take it. Put it on top right here, because as you tear the cotton balls apart, you just opened up.

Had you a few more fibers. All right. Let’s light it up. There you go. Yes, good. Almost making kind of a bird’s nest. All right. So get on top. So now we’re going to stay awake. So now we’re going to stick the fairy podium right in.

We’re going to use the steel to strike down into the little tender mono and go for it, big boy. Oh, all right. How you do it. You take it. Put it inside. You put your phone here, right? Go as fast as you can.

OK. You can’t do it at first. There we go. Wow. Yeah, nice. That was actually pretty easy. So it may take a few tries over and over, but you keep going at it. You’re going to have fire. And now we go, have some s’mores.
