A Day Out{side} Sledding at Coral Pink Sand Dunes

The Adventurtunity Family spends a day out{side} sledding along sand dunes at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park in Kanab, Utah.
We took a day outside to enjoy sledding at the coral pink sand dunes outside of Kanab, Utah.
You can bring your own wood sleds or for a small fee, rent a sled and wax bar at the main office.
It was our first experience sledding on sand, and there’s definitely a learning curve to it.
We practiced on the small dunes first before attempting to tackle the larger ones.
As you can see, there are wide open spaces along the dunes, offering plenty of room to sled, explore, or even give ATV-ing a try. Don’t worry about getting a workout in prior to sledding. Hiking the sand dunes is workout enough in a major calf burner after a few rounds but the steep climb is definitely worth the experience.
Be sure to wear sunglasses to protect your eyes and close toed shoes for ease of climbing the sand dunes.
