A parfait simply means a layered dessert in a tall, clear glass, and a yogurt parfait is simply a healthier version of this original idea. Yogurt parfaits are typically a quick and easy breakfast treat but make great snacks anytime and anywhere. The ingredients for parfaits pack easily for camping and can be enjoyed for breakfast or a special dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 3 or 4 cups Greek yogurt, plain or vanilla
  • 2 or 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 or 4 cups fresh strawberries, blueberries or blackberries
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups of your favorite granola

If you’re at home, pick a nice, tall, clear glass. For the boat or camping, a plastic cup or mug is best. Add the honey to the yogurt and stir well. Layer each glass or cup with yogurt, then berries, and then granola. Repeat the layers until the glass or cup is full, ending with granola. Serve right away.

Yield: 4 to 6 parfaits

Prep time: 10 minutes
