Holiday Punch
This tasty punch is great to serve for all holiday occasions, especially when the kids (and adults) want a special drink. There are only a few ingredients, but the blend of apple cider and sparkling juice makes for a sparkling holiday treat for all.
Hey, Jimmy Kennedy here with go out{side} and we’ve got a delicious Thanksgiving cocktail, but it’s an alcohol-free cocktail so the kids can enjoy a nice punch with Thanksgiving dinner. I know my, my daughter June loves Shirley Temples and stuff when we go out to restaurants. So that’s kind of the idea I had. You know, I want to be able to have everybody have a nice special drink at Thanksgiving and that’s what we got today. It’s super good.
It’s also great for camping because it’s only a few ingredients, really. And apple cider here in Vermont, it’s the big deal this time of year. This is fresh local apple cider it is so good. We use this all the time. So pretty sure we got six cups. Looks like six cups that’s the idea. And as always, we’ll have the recipe on the website.
And apple juice. Also another great fall drink and this we’re going to go about one cup. I’d say that’s one cup. Then we’re going to do some orange juice, another one cupper, thereabouts. And what makes it special, you know, that gives it that kind of cocktail punchy taste and flavor, I guess you’d say would be the seltzer here, sparkling white grape.
You can use apple, I had apple for this, but June drank it all. So I’m going to use white grape. And this is very prevalent in all your stores, especially at this time of year around Thanksgiving. Just pour this in slowly and stir it in. I use the whole bottle in this thing or as much that will fit. I think it’s going to go.
You could put this right in your thermos and heat this up even and take it out in the boat with you hunting or anything. And it’s very, very tasty. It’s good for you, too, right? So that’s the sparkling white grape in there. And you can use seltzer. If you don’t, you can’t find this. You should be able to find this okay, the sparkling stuff but seltzer works also.
Then I just like to add a little garnish, a little extra flavor, and lemon juice. Just put them in there. Can’t hurt. Maybe a few apples. Fill it right up. Those apples will soak up that stuff up and it is really tasty like that. And that is all it is to it. Apple cider, apple juice, and orange juice. You can use grapefruit or anything, but this is a pretty good combination of flavors.
The new sparkly white grape or sparkling apple tops it right off. And this is a beautiful drink to serve at Thanksgiving or any time, really. Any time. It is especially kind of cool for Thanksgiving. We’ll pour us up a cup. Yummy.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups apple cider

- 1 bottle (750 milliliters) sparkling white grape juice or sparkling apple juice

Directions:
You will need a large pitcher or bowl for this recipe. Mix the apple cider, apple juice, lemon juice and orange juice in the pitcher or bowl, then add the full bottle of sparking juice. Stir to blend. You may garnish with apple slices and lemon slices. I like to add them both right to the juice.
