June’s “Supersecret” Guacamole Recipe

What’s a better way to celebrate National Guacamole Day than by making a big batch of June’s special guacamole recipe? She started making this all on her own to go with her favorite tacos, and she’s now forever in charge of making the guacamole for tacos, chips and salsa or anything else that needs a little of her “secret” recipe.


  • 1 avocado
  • 2 or 3 lime wedges
  • Granulated garlic
  • Chili-lime seasoning
  • Kosher salt
  • Coarse ground black pepper, just a pinch
  1. Cut the avocado in half lengthwise. Remove the pit and scoop out the flesh with a spoon and place it in a medium-size mixing bowl.
  2. Using a fork, mash the avocado a little but leave it a little chunky.
  3. Squeeze in the juice from the lime wedges and add the granulated garlic, chili-lime seasoning, salt and pepper.
  4. Mash again and stir until the ingredients are all mixed together.
  5. Serve with your favorite chips and enjoy.

Yield: 4 to 6 servings (about a cup)

Prep time: 5 to 10 minutes
