Big Green Egg Kabobs
Enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner on the Big Green Egg Minimax with these delicious kabob recipes.
Jimmy Kennedy here with Go Outside, and we’ve got a very special guest today– two actually– Laurie and Gavin Tisdale– all the way from Alabama. They drove up here with this Minimax Green Egg. And we’re going to cook y’all up some good recipes here.
We’re just going to have some snacks. And this egg here has made it all the way up from Alabama and they’ve cooked on it– I don’t know how many times–
Several times–
Several times and this thing is a trooper.
The great thing about this is– and the eggs in general- you can roast on it. You can grill on it. You can smoke on it. It’s also like an oven. Just consider this your mini outdoor oven. I made little biscuits and everything on this thing.
Today we’re going to show you some shish kabob recipes. And you have three different ones. We have breakfast, lunch and dinner. And on the breakfast we have waffle, ham and boiled eggs. And, you know, you kind of make them your own and like say if Gavin, if you like bacon, we put bacon on it for you.
Right? You like sausage. So we could do that, too. And the waffles are just kind of like a little add in.
And then mention the lunch — that is hotdog corn on the cob and pickles with a little mustard and ketchup.
And then the dinner would be steak, pepper, potatoes, onions, and then we’ll put a little garlic herb cheese on it.
OK, we got some pretty good temperature here. I’m going to try to get this pretty hot and it’s around 300, 350 right now, and we’re going to start cooking some kabobs.
Which one you going to do first, Gavin? What’s your favorite here? Breakfast. Nice, buddy. What we’ve done is we put a little maple syrup on these, too. And what we can do is–we put some more on it when they’re done.
Try to get these kind of flat on there. Go ahead and do one of these for lunch. This is a lot heavier. Then one for steak. This is some really good meat we’ve got here.
All right, well, what we’re going to do is, like I said, we’ve got a pretty good temp– we’re going to cook this for about five minutes, maybe rotate them once, then do the other side.
Really don’t even have to do that with the egg, though. It’s going to cook on all sides. And you got a great heat in here. That’s part of the ceramic composition in this thing and works so well.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Oh, it smells good. Smells good too on the Big Green Egg Mini. This thing cooks so quickly. And like I said, you can broil on it. You can grill on it. Smoke. Consider it an oven.
You guys have had a lot of experience with this, right? Yeah, we have cooked a lot of good meals on it. More to come, too. Let’s see what the stuff tastes like. You wanted to breakfast, right? All right.
Let’s load you up here. Get a little more maple syrup on it, too. Let me let me help you out there. There we go, man. It’s not the biggest plate in the world, but I think it’s going to work.
These things are ready to roll. Remember, to use your imagination, get creative. Make what your family likes and enjoy cooking them on Egg.
